The district administration in Indore has begun the process of granting land ownership rights to residents of 29 villages that were incorporated within the municipal corporation limits in 2014. Residents or their heirs/transferees living in these villages without a lease can now apply for land holding rights. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav recently issued directives to facilitate this process. Currently, residents in these villages face challenges in selling their homes or obtaining loans due to the lack of proper documentation. They can now apply for a lease under the circular issued by the Revenue Department on September 24, 2020. Successful applicants will receive a 30-year lease, enabling them to easily sell or transfer their properties. Application camps will be held on September 29, 2024, at tehsil offices in various locations for interested individuals to apply. SDM Rau Vinod Rathore stated that online applications will also be accepted at these camps, and applicants must provide specific documents such as utility bills, government office correspondence, property tax receipts, and voter list information.
